Farewell Dear Kitty

I am sad to say it is time to say good-bye to our favorite kitty Wallop. I spent half the day crying, and I'm trying real hard not to go there again, and Monday will be his last day.  He's always been an indoor cat, but we will tuck him into the ground in the desert and he will finally be an outdoor cat. Then we will say our farewells and send his spirit off to Bast, the Goddess of cats. At least he got to enjoy his new home for six months. He was a stray kitten we rescued and he had a bad colon so he's had medicine twice a day for many years. Now it is time to let him go. It has been just over half a year that we had to put our other cat down as well.

Okay I'm tearing up again so I'll stop here for now.

When I see these bloom each year, I will think of him.

The Two Boys

I wanted to take a photo of my new nesting dolls. I got them laid out, held up the camera, and what did I find? A whole lot of cat fur. Okay Fuzzy, move aside so I can get a photo. Hmpf.

I took these shots of Wallop snoozing in a sunny window. I'm just glad he's feeling better after his visit to the vet. He's finally eating the wet food and pumpkin mixture the vet put him on. I just hope he stays healthy.

One of Those Days

You know that expression "One of those days"? It came from days like today. Wallop needed to go back to the vet to get cleaned out so I had to drop everything I had planned today to go take him. Then I had to get home to do a 6 PM tarot reading. At the end of the reading just as I was about to take a photo to send the client via email, Wallop crawled up on my bed and laid down in the middle of the cards and fell fast asleep. His day was worse than mine.

Then the moment I got relaxed the phone rang and it was from a guy we hadn't heard from in months that wanted to come over right away to pick up his arrows. So I certainly wasn't going to say no. The house was a disaster and no way to clean it in time, so I had to just swallow my pride and let the poor guy in.
It's 9 PM and I haven't had time to eat dinner yet, so off I go.
